Here is his link and story - you'll have to read back through everything if you'd like, but what I am sharing now is the latest. I was her maid of honor at her wedding. She is one of my dearest friends. I've told her I was making the post for prayers. Thank you all!

Well, folks- I should know better by now, than to jinx our going home by saying anything about it. Deegan and Kyle had a miserable night, worse than MY night with Deegs. The enteral feeding was tried again, but Deegan ended up vomiting AND having diarrhea every half hour or so. It was bad. So, we don't know why he is having these issues, and we're waiting on the doctors to answer our questions and see what his path forward is. In the meantime, he's hanging out watching television and movies. Thank God that the Family Resource Center on the 12th floor has a fabulous selection of movies and playstation games for the kids.
They did a sample for C diff (24 hour test incubation time) so we're also waiting on that. Hoping it's not that- have to go research it on internet. Right after I go find some food. It's hard to leave Deegan when he's awake and apt to need help at any moment. Just wanted to get a quick update out there for all of you. Keep praying, please. This bump in the road has us stressed even more. Kyle and I both are starting to feel real fear regarding Deegan's health, so we're in need of uplifting. Thanks in advance, as I know that many of you will read this and immediately begin praying for us, for which I am immensely grateful! -Joy

I am so thankful you brought Deegan's story over here to the prayer forum, mutiny. I am praying for this child and for his family.
Dear Heavenly Father, I know in my heart You are in control. I pray for this child tonight. He has been so sick, Lord. I pray for a blessing, asking for Your mercy and Your grace to touch this child in a miraculous way. It's with a humbled heart that I lift up this family. God, You hear the cries of this mother and father when they pray out to You. We join their prayers for this little boy. I believe that You see how strong they are trying to be for Deegan, but they are fearful. Please, I pray that Your holy and precious spirit tonight will blanket them and protect them from any negative thought. Oh, how hard this must be, Lord. Bless these parents with strength so they can stay encouraged and uplifted. Protect them from fearful and anxious thoughts, Father. Trusting in You, Lord.

Amen Melissa!!! I know they all will feel uplifted by the Lord.
He has a Wilns Tumor in his kidney that was dealt with in Round 1 of chemo, and 3 weeks after it was stopped, he had several more tumors (also Wilns) rapidly develop. He's definitely a LOT sicker this time.

Thank you, mutiny, for sharing Deegan's background. I didn't want to ask over on the cancer support thread.All I knew is that he is a sick lil fella and he needed prayer. I didn't know how old he is, either. So young  .Praying for him and his family. And for you, too. This must be awful difficult to watch your friend have to go through this.

Father I pray for your great peace to envelope Deek's parent. They need their strength to get through this ordeal. I pray you will erase their fear and give them hope. Lord I ask for a miraculous healing for this poor child. I ask that he will be able to keep his food down and gain strength. Thankyou Father.

Oh Father God, touch and comfort this family with Your infinite peace...please supernaturally heal Deegan of this cancer, please help him to be a healthy boy and grow into a healthy and whole man...thank You Jesus for hearing our prayers in Jesus name, amen amen and amen!!!

Well, another bad night, but I think it may have been slightly less difficult than what Kyle and Deegan endured on the 21st to the 22nd. He also spiked a really high fever on top of the diarrhea and vomiting, but those seemed to be on slightly longer intervals. No idea when we’re going home at this point. Just taking it one day at a time. And praying for the strength to endure as we wake up to “Mom, I gotta pee” or “Dad- poop!” in a frantic voice. Then, the struggle to locate my glasses (so I can see to help him!) and shoes for the feet, as one REALLY doesn’t want to walk barefooted or sock-clad on the floors.
The good news- it’s NOT C diff. That’s great because the treatment for that is really nasty antibiotics. I’ve been on the one and it left me feeling almost worse than what we were treating. So, praises there!! Also, seems like the blood in the stool/diarrhea is lessening or mostly gone. So, just a couple quick praises! Thanks for following our saga, and for praying for us! This poor little guy. -Joy

Hello from Upstate. Deegan is sleeping peacefully as I write this. There appears to be great gains over his undending ailments that have plagued him the last few days! I have been here for 6 hours and have not had to change him or grab "the bucket" once!!! This is such a welcome relief! Joy and I, and of course Deegan, were really hitting the wall. He is still complaining of lower abdominal pain, but gets medication that relieves that. I am hoping for a peaceful night for us both and for Joy while she is home. Thanks and God bless!!! Kyle

Father I thank you for the improvement we are seeing for Deegan. Please let it continue and heal him completely. I pray he will improve so much that he will be able to eat without being ill. Lord heal him and send him home. Give strength to his mother and any other loved ones who are there helping him through this. Please keep them comfortable and give them rest. I pray that the doctors and nurse in attendance are kind and understanding. Thank you Lord.

Well, last night turned into the same as the last several nights, meaning very little sleep for us and more misery. I have had enough of this, and will "press" the doctors for information and a definite treatment plan on Deegan's ailments. Anyway, it was wonderful to have a 6 hour break at least! Kyle

Oh Father in Heaven, I pray for Deegan's family now. You are a merciful God who comforts those who seek You. I pray for Thy comfort to draw this family closer to You. Thank You for this precious life. Thank You for allowing me these past few months to get to know Deegan through the cancer support thread and for the priveledge to pray for him. My thoughts and prayers are that You will see them through the days ahead. Bless them, Lord, with strength to endure this loss. May they be comforted in knowing that Deegan will never have to wake up to another sick day. Please help them, Father, with the ache in their heart. In the blessed name of Jesus, I ask these things. Thank you so much everyone! I have yet to call her - giving them time to themselves for now. I will soon. Once I know funeral arrangements, I will pass them along as well, so we can continue to pray.
