Lord,
Please be with all mentioned here within these posts who are waiting on you for a christian mate, ease any loneliness that they may feel while they wait. Lord when the time is right, I pray you would send them someone of your chosing who would be good for them and to them.
I thank you that there are still those who wait on you and I pray you would bless them tremendously for seeking your face in their decisions. In Jesus name, I pray, amen.

Wow, CindySc, God must have given you a little nudge or something, 'cause I have been battling (not really that successfully) some pretty intense feelings of loneliness the past few days. To know that someone has been praying for me and other singles who feel lonely, really is comforting --- and points to the truth that God has not forgotten us, no matter what our "feelings" might try to tell us.

Father, I join in agreement with arob79 --- may the years that the locusts have taken (even when we foolishly "fed" the locusts with our disobedience or laziness or whatever) be restored, redeemed... You make all things brand new. Help us remember that that truth is still true and that we can experience it daily with You. Help us chase the little foxes of our lives, even during the single years, that would gnaw at the new plants and fruit that You've started in our lives. Help us recognize those foxes... to not invite them, to not feed them... but to chase them off with big ol' sticks!!
I pray for the future wives of willfs and arob79... that these sisters in You would be growing in inner beauty, in love, in serving, in knowing the Word and knowing You.... and when a godly woman of excellent character and wondrous beauty that runs deeper than just the surface, comes across the each of the paths of these brothers in Christ, may willfs and arob79 be able to recognize such a woman.
May these wonderful men continue to grow in their potential to be leaders in the home, in the workplace, in their churches, in the Kingdom and in their knowledge and application of the Word.

I did find a GREAT singles group, at the new church. What's neat about it is, it's not a dating club, it's just singles of all ages getting together. That has helped me with loneliness.

Father,
I pray for my future wife. Lord, I am ready to commit to marriage. However, I have learned the hard way in the past to WAIT on you and not to rely on my own strength. I know it is not much of a challenge to begin a dating relationship. Lord, I am through with just dating. I want to meet and know the one you have designed for me to spend the rest of my life with. As hard as it is to wait (I have not done so many times in the past) I give my desires over to you and I let go of the control I seemingly think to have. Break me and mold me into the man you want me to be for my future wife. I trust that in YOUR time you will make the way clear.
Lord, I also pray for everyone else on here. I too know the pain of being lonely and single. I pray as we seek YOU we will understand you do have someone out there for us. Maybe you are working on us, maybe you are working on our future spouse, or maybe both of us at the same time. Lord, you know what is best for us, even more so than ourselves. Thank you for my brothers and sisters and Christ. May you give them the desires of their hearts.

Lord, thank you for the prayers that have been sent up on behalf of those who are single. Lord help us to wait on Your perfect timing. Shape us and mold us into the people You will have us to be. Prepare our hearts and minds to meet the person You have hand selected for us. When we are lonely, help us to sense Your presence. Continue to meet our every need according to Your riches in glory. Lord help those around them to include them and show love to them, and comfort their hearts so they won't feel lonely until this prayer is answered. Yes Lord, please let this be my prayer also. Lord there are those out there who because of circumstances beyond their control have a lot of trouble in this area of their life, building relationships, I pray for them today. God I know you love them and I pray you would help them in this area and send someone into their life who will understand, look past it, and love them. Lord, I think of my friend in the nursing home, when he was born no one thought he would live, he was without oxygen to his brain for so long. He has palsy and can hardly be understood when he speaks, but is very smart. He has spent years in places like nursing homes and rehab centers, but you in your love looked down and saw him and his need and put someone so special in his life that it is truly amazing, and I thank you Lord for that. I pray when the time is right you would also bless these with someone very special. Until the time that you do, Lord, help them to know how important and precious they are to you and that you are with them, whether they be single or married, and feelings of loneliness does not mean they are alone. In Jesus name, I pray, amen.

Father, You know far better than me the pondering that our dear brother has been doing for quite a while now. I join him in asking You for illumination of the truth: of what he needs in a wife... and if the aspects of a wife and marriage that he's been wanting, hoping for, are realistic or unrealistic. I know that You are already helping him sort through his thoughts. Thank You, in advance, for how You will answer him in the specifics. Please help him know that he knows that he knows which factors he should keep in his mental description of the kind of woman he should be on the lookout for... and which factors to toss aside... and which factors are to be flexible.
Also... please help him know how to be the right kind of good friend to the young woman he knows from work ---> that he not be paralyzed by concern that he would defraud her but also that he would walk as wise, taking care not to engage her heart too soon (or at all, if she and he are not a good match).
Thank You for creating men like willfs, who love You, who want to do what is right, who want to nurture and love others, who cherish your Word, who serve and give.

May our years the locusts have eaten, be replaced with grace. LORD, to echo that prayer above, I have done so many stupid things. I have pushed aside great opportunties, while pursuing the wrong ones. I have opened my mouth too many times, been too brutal. I have showed not enough heart and others times wasted it as pearls before swine. LORD, if I am to be single, please help me to be content in that. To clear my mind and concentrate on you regardless. And if those who have said they see that I am to be married are correct, then LORD help me to wait. I wish I was more like Rich Mullins in my singleness, but I fear I am not doing all I am to be a woman filled up with the courage to shine like a light on a hill. God, help me to be that women. And I pray that you help every man and woman in this thread and reading it, to be a light on a hill. Thank you for the blessings you send into my life...like a nephew who loves to hang out with me. And church people who love me, friends that love me. God it's hard to wait. Help me to wait. And hang on to you when I have nobody to hang onto anymore. AMEN.

I don't know why my daughter has experienced so much heartache in this area of her life when she is so sweet and so doesn't deserve it. I ask that you would be merciful to her and bless her with a christian husband who will love her, someone she can trust with her whole heart, who will be there for her as long as he is able to be. In Jesus name, I pray, amen.
